pet dander

We love our furry family, but might not love their fur on all surfaces in our home.

Presently, we are all stuck inside with our family because of COVID. If you have a lot of furry family with you, you know that most surfaces can get covered in fur and pet dander. We all know the two biggest culprits are cats and dogs. It is important to remove the pet dander because it can cause allergic reactions. Berks Pet Care is here to show how to remove the pet dander as best you can while in your home for an extended amount of time.

Clean Your House

This is the most obvious answer we could think of. Pet dander clings onto all surfaces and is hard to see which makes it nearly impossible to know if it’s there. So clean as much as you can, when you can. We recommend using items like a lint roller,  a vacuum, and natural cleaning products. Also, don’t forget to clean your pet’s toy products as pet dander is likely on it and can be spread when they move with it.

Wash Your Pet

Yes, we know what we’re asking to do. Although it can be a dramatic moment for your pets, it is highly effective is reducing pet dander. The Humane Society stated that washing your pet can get rid of 84% of the pet dander on their fur.

Using an Air Purifier

We understand you might not always want to clean your home or your pets, so this is an easier solution. Air purifiers can be used for the sole purpose of picking up fur and skin particles.

Remove Excess

Fur and skin particles are on everything that your pets usually are on. The easy fix is to get rid of as many things that aren’t essential. It also makes it easier for you to clean with less clutter in the way. Think of it as a win-win!
