Pet Sitter Since 2021
For over 25 years, I’ve taught 8th-grade algebra. Besides getting along with 14-year-olds, I’d like to say that getting along with animals is what I do best! I cannot remember a time when I didn’t have a pet. Growing up in the city of Reading, there was always an animal or two (or three) in my life. As a working adult, I’ll never forget the first time I adopted my own cat, Vinnie, from the Humane Society of Berks County. Ultimately, after meeting my husband through work, and moving to West Reading, we rescued Buster the Boston Terrier and June the chunky diabetic cat. We raised and cared for all three pets while instilling a love of animals in our daughter, Naomi.
Currently, we are a pet-free home, but we’ve grown close to many pet children of neighbors, friends, and family and are known to pet sit frequently. I have also volunteered at the Humane Society of Berks County cleaning both dog and cat kennels and took part in the Book Buddies program at the Animal Rescue League with my daughter where we spent time reading books to cats and kittens.
I am thrilled to be a member of the Berks Pet Care team to get to know and care for your pets as if they were my own!
